Our Fleet
At Lindsay Jack & Son Funeral Directors, we recognise that the journey toward rest is as significant as the farewell itself. For this reason, our fleet consists of four jet-black Ford vehicles, each selected for their reliability, understated elegance, and cohesive design.
As evident from the accompanying images, our fleet presents a unified Cortège: the custom Ford hearse (J111 DLJ) leads, accompanied by two family cars (J222 DLJ and J444 DLJ) in convoy and (J555 DLJ) a Ford SUV 8 people carrier should the number of mourners require a larger convoy. The use of a Limousine in the Cortège is available on request and adds to our bespoke range of options.
Hearse – J111 DLJ
This bespoke hearse, built on a Ford chassis, features a high-gloss black finish, polished chrome trim, and factory-tinted glass panels. The generously sized rear compartment is thoughtfully designed with a polished oak platform, equipped with rails to ensure the secure placement of the casket. Discreet interior lighting emanates a warm glow, complementing the handcrafted upholstery and fostering a tranquil atmosphere.
Engineered for a whisper-quiet operation, this hearse provides a dignified conveyance through Grantown on Spey and the surrounding areas.
Family Cars – J222 DLJ & J444 DLJ
Accompanying the hearse are two Ford estate vehicles, each meticulously prepared to accommodate mourners. Both vehicles are designed to coordinate seamlessly with the hearse, featuring matching paintwork and license plate numbers—J222 DLJ and J444 DLJ—thus creating a cohesive and thoughtful fleet. We also have available J555 DLJ, a Ford SUV 8 seat people carrier to accommodate larger groups of mourners.
Interior amenities for passengers include high-quality leather seating with adjustable headrests, dual-zone climate control for individualised comfort, and expansive panoramic windows.
The vehicles also offer substantial boot space, which is capable of accommodating wreaths and personal belongings, ensuring that all details are attended to with care.
